The Gordon League clubhouse offers a full range of facilities for all of its members – which is just as well as it’s a ‘second home’ to a lot of people !
The focal point of the clubhouse is the Players Bar, where there’s plenty of good beer and food available. When the action isn’t taking place on the pitch then it’s all happening in here – definitely not for the faint (or weak) hearted !
But as well as providing a lively haunt for members throughout the week, the Players Bar also has that air of nostalgia about it. The walls are covered in club memorabilia, providing a record of team and individual honors and achievements from the clubs long history. If you’re looking for somewhere less hectic, then you will find the Lounge Bar to be just that little bit quieter.
The clubhouse is the perfect venue for regular entertainment evenings such as disco’s and quiz nights etc. and is available free of charge to all Gordon League members. Contact the Clubhouse Manager for details. Formal occasions such as end-of-season dinners, presentation evenings and wedding receptions can easily be accommodated. The ‘Gordon Function Room’ is spacious and comfortable and our resident professionalcaterers offer a full range of menus prepared and presented to the highest standard. Visit the Bar Quality Catering website for pricing and contact information.
The Playing Surfaces:
We have three full size rugby pitches with changing facilities for six teams. One of the pitches is flood lit to enable the teams to train outside during the winter evenings. With a children’s playground adjoining the grounds even the kids can have some outdoor fun while you enjoy yourself on our playground. The grounds are fully enclosed to ensure the only visitors are invited guests or welcome visitors. No dogs (except guide dogs) are allowed on our grounds.
Incorporated within the clubhouse complex is Georges Gym. The gymnasium will provide hi-tech fitness and body-sculpting equipment and will be available free of charge, 7 days a week to all Gordon League registered playing members. The gym is available to other members and the public for a monthly fee.
